GEP delivers break tanks with a type AB break. A break tank is a reservoir that is placed between the water meter and one or more tap points. Break tanks are also called disconnect tanks. Such break tanks are used where an interruption of the water supply is necessary or mandatory. The most important reason for the use of a break tank is the prevention of contamination of the water supply network due to the presence of substances in case of possible backflow of the water. Safe drinking water thanks to break tanks in accordance with EN1717. Consideration should also be given to slaughterhouses, mortuaries, dental practices, garden irrigation, irrigation, laboratories, drinking water bowls for (poultry) cattle, car washes, laundries, etc. Break tanks are also used for pipe systems with stagnant water such as sprinkler systems, fire extinguishing water, etc. Also in places where substances are added to the water, such as antibiotics, one is obliged to install a break tank between the drinking water connection and the indoor installation.
